I often have little conversations with P that really crack me up. Today we had another one. He asked me when we are going to pay our mortgage. I told him we pay it at the beginning of every month. Then he asked me "Well how come our house didn't get bigger?"
It took me a minute, but then it hit me.
Me: "Because this isn't Animal Crossing"
P: "oh"
(In animal crossing when you pay off the mortgage of your home, it expands and then you get another mortgage to pay off)

An Award....Late

I was recently given an award by Kids...Me & RAW III. Ok so it was really a while ago. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to acknowledge it. I have been caught up in a boring game and am just getting to this now. Thanks for the award!
Stop by and check out her blog when you have a moment.
*Here are the award rules:
List 7 things that you love and then pass the award on to 7 bloggers you love.
Be sure to tag them and let them know they have won!
You can copy the picture of the award and put it on your sideboard
letting the whole world know.....
you are KREATIV!
In no particular order, the 7 things that I love....
1. Chicken. Anyway you cook it, I will eat it. Except with lemon. I can't stand lemon on my chicken.
2. Microwaveable kids meals. These have saved the day many times in my house when I have gotten caught up in something and then realize it's past dinner time.
3. Scrapbooking. I find it a great creative outlet and helps releave my stress.
4. My children. I love that I have a boy and a girl. I love beign able to experience all the boy stuff and the girl stuff too.
5. Sleep. I love to sleep. I am good at it. I could go to bed for a whole day if life and family would leave me alone.
6. A & W Root Beer. My drink of choice. For now. I expect any day now for my taste buds to say enough and pick something else. I have gone through Mello Yello, Coke, Cherry Coke, Kroger brand black cherry soda, Dr. Pepper, Mr. Pibb and tea. I can't drink any of those but the tea anymore. I just no longer like them.
7. My hair dryer. Is there anything that thing can't do? It has put my children to sleep, saved me from the iron, helped ease sinus headaches, gotten crayon up off my floor, tv, and walls, eased ear aches, dried wet spots the dryer didn't get when I needed the clothes right then, thawed frozen feet and hands, blocked out the yakking from JB when I wanted to be alone, gave me more time to work with hot glue, warmed cold sheets to keep the kids from jerking awake as soon as their back hit the bed, I am sure there is more....
Here is where I am suppose to pass this award on to 7 other bloggers. I can't decide who to pass it to. I really wanted to go ahead and get this post up before I forget about it again. For now I am holding off on passing this award and will update this post when I decide.

2 Week Catch Up
Since I haven't posted in a while, here is a recap of what has happened in the past 2weeks:
E got sick with a high fever-turns out she had an ear infection and Roseola-she's better.
I decided I could not wait any longer on a new car and am now making JB fix the old piece of crap. As much as I hate to.
We had new tires put on the truck.
We had the windshield resealed. It was pouring water in our lap when it rained. The water leak is probably what happened to the air. We had to replace the switch in the dash and now it works fine. We think the water dripped into the switch and shorted it out.
We bought a window motor for both the car and truck. Neither have been put in. The car is waiting on a freeze plug and water pump first. We bought both parts, getting them in is the problem. JB tried one freeze plug only to loose it somewhere or get it stuck or something because of the tight fit. Apparently the engine is in the way. The window motor for the truck is waiting on the right size bolts to hold it in place.
Bought 2nd freeze plug.
Bought paint to start painting my kitchen cabinets.
I reorganized the storage area over my washer and dryer and ended up with twice the space! YAY!
I bought a bin shelf unit for E's toys and it has helped the mess in her room a bunch. She no longer has to dump a whole box to find one toy. She can see most of them at once now.
JB and I got new glasses. (Jb complained all last year about his glasses being too weak. He was right. The doctor didn't give him a full strength prescription on purpose to see how he does. Would have been nice to know)
Last weekend P got sick with a headache, fever vomiting and sore throat-he's better now too.
JB went for an allergy skin test yesterday. He is allergic to horses and 3 types of mold. (good luck with the horses that are about to be able to roam 10 feet from our house)
Our gaming computer started running weird and running hot. Taking it apart and cleaning it didn't help. We are getting an error saying one of the fans is turning too slow.
Today I replaced the power supply, put in a new DVD drive thingy, and added a fan that mounts under the graphics card. I still have to replace the fan that isn't running right, but the new fan disappeared. And I have to hunt down the software for the graphics card and sound card so I can switch them around because it doesn't work to just switch them. I have to uninstall and reinstall everything. Maybe tonight I can get everything finished. It was not intentional but I have a blue light theme going. The power supply lights up blue, the new speakers light up blue, the fan I did get in lights up blue and the one I am about to replace the old fan with lights up blue, my keyboard lights up blue. The telephone sitting on the desk even lights up blue.

So Boring
It has been a while since I have had the time to sit down and type a post. Not because life has been so busy, It is because I have been busy playing a game on the Wii. I bought Animal Crossing 2 weeks ago and I had high hopes for it. This game has got to be one of the most boring games I have ever played. I just don't get the point. I am trying to like it, I really am, but I am really disappointed. The only things I have done is shake fruit off a tree to go sell for money to pay the mortgage on my house, only to have another mortgage thrown at me once it is paid off due to expansion of my house. I have dug up a few fossils, fished, picked up shells on the beach, got some mail, sent some mail, bought some items, gave medicine to a sick cat. Is that it? That is all there is to this game? Really? Somebody tell me I am wrong. The only reason I have played this game for 2 weeks is that I am determined to get my money's worth. The game was $50, but that wasn't all I needed. I either had to buy a wireless router or buy an adapter to use my existing router. I opted to buy the adapter. It was cheaper- $25. I paid $75 to shake peaches off a tree? I am so glad that I didn't invest the upwards of $100 on the wireless router and cards to change over our computers just so I could play this game. Especially since I found out that internet is not needed unless you already know someone with the game. In person. Otherwise there is no other way to make friends to even utilize an internet connection. So I am ashamed to admit I talked a friend into buying the game in the hopes that it would make it more exciting. It didn't and now she doesn't like me anymore.
Too bad Nintendo hasn't came up with a way for you to download game demo's like you can for computer games. It might have saved me $50 at the very least.
Who am I kidding, I would have just spent the money on Mario Kart.
Later this week I will devote some time to acknowledging an award, reciprocating some comments and answering some questions that have came up. Tomorrow I will catch you up on what has happened the past 2 weeks.
