If not, you might want to skip this post. I promise there will be a more upbeat post all about P's birthday at some point tonight or tomorrow.
I had a stuff for P's party to pick up plus a few more items for breakfast this week. It was suppose to be a quick and easy trip. It wasn't.
It takes me 20 minutes to get a shower, dry my hair and get ready to go to work, just like normal. That is when everything else went down hill. It took me 2 hours to actually get out of the house. I kept getting stopped by all the momma I need this, help me do that, she needs this, don't forget that, my tv won't work, blah blah blah.
E stole my shoe and it took me 30 minutes to find it. Then as I am about to scream from frustration, I finally get to walk out the door. It is now after 1 p.m. and I still have to go to work plus get my shopping done and be home by 4 for JB to go to work.
Then JB tells me not to forget the water to pour in the car. (There is a leak somewhere). I am sitting in the car with it in reverse and he tells me now??? So back in the house for water. Then hood won't open, so back in the house to get JB to come open it, then back in the house for more water. I will just completely skip telling you about the traffic.
I finally made it to work at 2 p.m. Thankfully I was able to get it all done quickly. Then off to the store right across the road to get party bags and junk to go in them. It took me 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot!!! It only took me 3 minutes to grab all the party stuff I needed. Then I got in line, behind ONE person. Guess what? She hands the cashier a gallon sized ziplock bag of change!!!! Money is money, that doesn't bother me, but the woman couldn't even roll the crap first?? She didn't even know how much was in the bag. 20 minutes I tell you. The lady behind me kept loudly saying the same thing over and over about how they need to open another register, that they never call for the next person in line, they need to ask for the next person in line. I tell you I heard it 50 times and I kept thinking about shoving one of the crazy straws I was buying in her eye. The manager, in an effort to shut her up very rudely told her "ma'am it wouldn't have made any difference in your situation if we did that". Did that shut her up? NO!!! Then she kept saying how he shouldn't have said that to her she was only expressing her opinion.
Then to Walmart. Most of you are laughing about that. Just shut up about it. I quickly found everything I needed. I forgot diapers and had to go all the way to the back of the store for the 2nd time, then all the way to the other side for a casserole dish, then stand in line behind a little old lady I actually felt bad for, pick up a huge bag of bird seed 3 times because she kept forgetting that the cashier already scanned it. Then I didn't feel sorry anymore because she stood there until the cashier finished and gave her her total before she even bother to open her
Then I remembered I forgot icing!!!! I was not stopping again. If I couldn't get my mom to grab some on her way then P was just going to have to settle for a pink cake. Cherry icing was all I have at home.
I was almost 30 minutes late getting home. I have been
Now I realize that I had planned to make 2 things as gifts tonight but I don't know when I will get to. It is for my parents and they are coming over for cake and
